Good morning everybody, (although when you read this, it will be at night, I wrote it this morning on the subway).
Today, travelling in the subway to Madrid, seeing these tunnels turned off, it has given me think of a world without Art.
It’ll be like to have a palette in the hand with only one color (black) with different tones. And the truth, it doesn’t like me.
And then, I’ve seen myself gone down Castellana´s drive, in grey and black tones, puf!! My goodness.
I’ve continued going down to Atocha Street, and I´ve found a giant building lot, with a big sign announcing stunning luxurious apartments for sale, that literally said:
“EL PRADO” Urbanization.
I can´ t believe it.
Where are Goya, Velázquez, Sorolla, Rivera, Tiziano, Caravaggio, Rubens, Van Gogh, Cèzanne, Picasso, Gauguin, Rafael, Da Vinci, Dalí, El Greco, Monet, Warhol, Turner, Rembrandt?
Where is the Museum? My Museum?
Suddenly I feel that even my thoughts were in black and white, but mostly black, very, very black.
A loud beep me back to the “dark” reality of the subway tunnels. Fortunately even in the darkness there is always a light at the end, with all its colors …
…and with their Art and Artist.
