A team of Oscar-winning filmmakers face a biopic recreates Van Gogh oil paintings to decipher his life.

56,800 oil paintings. All with the same stroke, the Van Gogh. This is the challenge that the creative team takes BreakThru Films, británicopolaca producer who has to his credit an Oscar for best short film by Peter & The Wolf (2006), stop-motion version of the classic children’s story Peter and the Wolf. Loving Vincent is the title of this challenge in which 40 artists will have to become, Oil Oil, frame by frame, in double Van Gogh. “For the first time in history that will be a feature in each image is an oil painting,” said Hugh Welchman, producer and co-writer of the film and head of BreakThru Films. “Until now it was impossible to try something by the time it took. But we managed to develop a technique that makes it possible.”
